Özet
Bu çalışmada; Türkçe öğretiminde yaratıcı okuma etkinliklerinin üst düzey okuduğunu anlama becerisine ve okuma motivasyonuna etkisi incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın örneklemi; Alanya Emişbeleni İmam Hatip Ortaokulunun ve Emişbeleni Ortaokulunun 7.sınıfında öğrenim gören 23 deney ve 22 kontrol grubu olmak üzere 45 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Uygulama sürecinde deney grubuna sekiz hafta boyunca haftada üç ders saati olmak üzere, yaratıcı okuma yaklaşmınına göre planlanan etkinlikler, kontrol grubuna ise MEB 7.sınıf Türkçe ders kitabındaki geleneksel okuma etkinlikleri uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada nicel ve nitel yaklaşımların bir arada kullanıldığı karma yöntem benimsenmiştir. Araştırmada toplanan nicel verilerin analizinde betimsel istatistikler, bağımlı gruplar t testi ve ANOVA kullanılmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanan nitel verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz ve içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda yaratıcı okuma etkinliklerinin deney grubundaki öğrencilerin okuduğunu anlama becerileri ve okuma motivasyonları üzerinde olumlu bir etkiye sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca deney grubunda yer alan öğrencilerin yaratıcı okuma etkinlikleri ve uygulamaları hakkında olumlu görüş bildirdikleri tespit edilmiştir.
In this study, the impact of creative reading activities on advanced reading comprehension skills and reading motivation in Turkish language instruction has been investigated. The sample of the study consists of 45 students, including 23 students in the experimental group and 22 students in the control group, who are in the 7th grade of Alanya Emişbeleni İmam Hatip Secondary School and Emişbeleni Secondary School. During the implementation process, for duration of eight weeks, the experimental group received activities planned according to the creative reading approach with three class hours per week, on the other hand, the control group was exposed to traditional reading activities from the 7th grade Turkish course book of the Ministry of National Education. In the research, a mixed-method approach was adopted, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative methods. Descriptive statistics, paired sample t-test, and ANOVA were used for the analysis of the collected quantitative data in the research. Descriptive analysis and content analysis were used for the analysis of the qualitative data collected through the semi-structured interview form. The research concluded that creative reading activities have a positive impact on the reading comprehension skills and reading motivation of the students in the experimental group. Furthermore, it was observed that the students in the experimental group expressed positive opinions regarding the creative reading activities and implementations.
