dc.description.abstractMeasuring corporate financial performance is crucial for maintaining competitive advantage, achieving profitability targets, and ensuring business continuity. The primary aim of this study is to evaluate the financial performance of manufacturing companies listed in the Borsa & Idot;stanbul (BIST) Participation Sustainability Index (XSRDK) between 2018 and 2023 by employing the multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods MEREC and COBRA. The dataset consists of 13 manufacturing firms included in the index and eight financial ratios used as evaluation criteria. In the analysis, the MEREC method was applied to determine the weights of the criteria, while the COBRA method was used to rank the firms. A sensitivity analysis was conducted to assess the robustness of the results. Comparisons with alternative MCDM methods and weighting approaches revealed strong correlations across the yearly rankings, supporting the consistency and reliability of the proposed MEREC-COBRA approach in financial performance evaluation.
