Özet
The aim of coronary artery bypass graft surgery is to reduce the patient's anginal pain, provide comfort, improve the patient's quality of life, and extend life expectancy. Various complications can be seen after coronary artery bypass graft, which is a major surgery. As mobilization is delayed after surgery, the probability of complications such as deterioration in pulmonary functions, muscle atrophy, decline in physical functions, deterioration in gastrointestinal functions, increase in insulin resistance, and pressure sores increases. Early mobilization has taken its place in the literature as a highly effective method in preventing complications, reducing care costs, shortening the hospitalization period, and gaining independence in the early period of the patient. Nurses, who are the leaders of care, are also pioneers in mobilization. Nurses protect patients who have undergone coronary artery bypass graft from the harmful effects of immobilization by complying with the sternotomy procedure. This study was conducted to emphasize the importance of mobilization in patients who have undergone coronary artery bypass graft surgery and to prove its effect in preventing complications.
