Özet
Polikistik Over Sendromu (PKOS) olan bireylerin tedavi sürecinde saglik ve zindelik davranslarin neyin motive ettigini anlamak ve bu davranislari engelleyen zorluklari,çatismalari ve etkenleri belirlemek ve PKOS'lu hastalarin yasam kalitesini arttirmaya yönelik motivasyonlarini ve engelleyici faktörleri anlayarak, tedavi stratejilerini nasil optimize edilecegi konusunda bilgi saglamasi amaçlanmaktadir. Prospektif olarak planlanan bu çalismada 01/10/2024-01/07/2025 tarihleri arasinda Alaaddin Keykubat Üniversitesi Alanya Egitim Arastirma Hastanesi Kadm Hastahklari ve Dogum Poliklinigi'ne basvuran 18-45 yaslari arasinda gebe olmayan premenopozal kadinlardan 84 PKOS tanisi almis hastalar ve kontrol grubu olarak PKOS tanisi dislanmis 82 saglikl kadin bireyler olmak üzere 166 olusturdu. Çalismada, Egzersiz Motivasyonu Tutum Ölçegi'nin "egzersiz motivasyonu olumsuz tutum ve disünce" alt boyutunda PKOS grubuyla kontrol grubu arasinda istatistiksel olarak anlamlr bir fark bulunmustur (p-0,042). Ancak, "pozitif bakrg açisi ve saghk" ile "fiziksel görinüm ve saglk" alt boyutlarnda iki grup arasinda anlaml.bir farklilik saptanmamistur (p>0,05). Son 6 ayda kilo degisimi degerlendirildiginde, kontrol grubunda kilo degisimi yasayan kigi sayistnun PKOS grubuna kryasla istatistiksel anlaml.düzeyde daha yüksek oldugu bulundu (p-0,003). Çaligmamiz PKOS'lu kadinlarda genel motivasyonel göstergelerin kontrol grubuyla benzer oldugunu, ancak davranns degisikliginin önünde spesifik engellerin bulundugunu göstermektedir. Egzersiz ve beslenme tutumlarindaki bu farkluliklar, PKOS yönetiminde kisisellestirilmis ve çevresel kogullara duyarl yaklasimlarin gerekliligini ortaya koymaktadir. The aim of this study is to understand what motivates health and wellness behaviors during the treatment process in individuals with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), as well as to identify the challenges, conflicts, and factors that hinder these behaviors. The study specifically investigates whether the factors influencing dietary habits and exercise motivation in patients with PCOS differ from those in individuals from the general population. The study population consisted of 166 non-pregnant premenopausal women aged 18-45 who presented to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Outpatient Clinic of Alaaddin Keykubat University Alanya Training and Research Hospital between 01/10/2024 and 01/07/2025. Of these, 84 were diagnosed with PCOS, while 82 healthy women without a PCOS diagnosis formed the control group. A statistically significant difference was found between the PCOS and control groups in the "negative attitude and thought toward exercise motivation" subscale of the Exercise Motivation Attitude Scale(p-0.042). However, no significant differences were detected between the two groups in the"positive outlook and health" and "physical appearance and health" subscales (p>0.05). The number of participants with children was significantly lower in the PCOS group compared to the control group (p<0.05). Furthermore, when weight change over the last six months was evaluated, the number of individuals who experienced weight change was significantly higher in the control group than in the PCOS group (p-0.003). This study demonstrates that overall motivational indicators in women with PCOS are similar to those of the control group, but that specific barriers to behavioral change exist. Addressing these differences in exercise and dietary attitudes highlights the necessity of personalized and context-sensitive approaches in the management of pcOS.
