    Financial Analysis Based on ENTROPI and MULTIMOOSRAL Methods: An Application on the BIST Banking Index

    In this study, the financial performance of public and private deposit banks, which are members of the Turkish Bank Association (TBB) and subject to the BIST Banking Index, were analysed comparatively. In analysing the financial ratios of 9 deposits between 2019 and 2021, a hybrid model was used in the ENTROPY-based MULTIMOOSRAL method. As a result of the study, it has been determined that the most important financial ratios are profitability ratios; the best performance in 2019 is that public deposit banks and private deposit banks are at the top. However, it was determined that public banks could not perform successfully until 2021. Contrary to the performance of public banks, it was determined that private deposit banks maintained stability, and some of the private deposit banks, which were initially in the lower ranks, followed a performance of 4 to 5 ranks higher.

    Sustainable Financial Performance Analysis of Logistics Companies Listed on Borsa Istanbul: An Integrated Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Approach

    With the impact of globalization, logistics has evolved beyond mere goods transportation to become an indispensable component of international trade and a strategic force that provides a competitive advantage. Through logistics companies with strong financial performance, the sector plays a decisive role in enhancing industry efficiency and supporting global economic sustainability. In this context, measuring and improving the financial performance of logistics companies has become critically important. This study introduces an innovative approach to evaluating the financial performance of logistics companies listed on the Borsa Istanbul (BIST) Transportation Index by integrating four distinct Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methods. The SIWEC, MEREC, and LODECI methods, recognized for objective weighting, were used to assign weights to financial criteria for logistics companies. The obtained criteria weights were combined for each research period using the Heron mean, and then the performance rankings of logistics companies were determined using the CoCoSo method. The consistency of the results obtained was also evaluated through sensitivity analysis, and the reliability of the model was tested. It has been determined that the methods used are moderately to highly sensitive to changes in parameters.

    THE IMPACT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON THE ACCOMMODATION PREFERENCES OF DOMESTIC TOURISTS: THE CASE OF TURKEY

    Tourism, which single-handedly accounts for a significant portion of the service export of Turkey, is considered one of the sectors providing the most competitive advantages. However, the prevention and control measures and travel restrictions brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic significantly impacted the tourism sector in Turkey, as they did in other countries' tourism sector. This impact is not only related to a decline in tourism income but also a process of sharp transformation involving tourists' travel behavior and their accommodation choices. In this context, this study aims to predict future accommodation preferences of domestic tourists by using Markov chain analysis, taking into account previous experiences and Covid-19 processes. The study results indicate that the accommodation companies and investors need to conduct strategic planning within this framework based on the forecast that the accommodation choices of domestic tourists in Turkey are expected to change in the long term.
