dc.description.abstractBu araştırma, 2015-2025 yılları arasında Web of Science Core Collection veri tabanında yayımlanan eğitimde sürdürülebilirlik konulu 2071 makaleyi bibliyometrik analiz yöntemiyle incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma, bu alandaki bilimsel yayınların genel eğilimlerini, üretken yazar ve kurumları, ülke bazında dağılımları ve öne çıkan anahtar kelimeler ile trend konuları bütüncül bir bakış açısıyla ortaya koymaktadır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular, 2021 yılından itibaren eğitimde sürdürülebilirlik araştırmalarında belirgin bir artış yaşandığını ve konuya olan akademik ilginin giderek yükseldiğini göstermektedir. Özellikle Amerika Birleşik Devletleri, İngiltere ve Avustralya gibi ülkeler, bu alandaki yayın üretkenliğiyle öne çıkmaktadır. Gerçekleştirilen araştırmalar, sürdürülebilirliğin çevresel, ekonomik ve sosyal boyutlarıyla birlikte eğitimin bu dönüşümdeki kritik rolüne odaklanmaktadır. En çok atıf alan çalışmaların sürdürülebilirliğe yönelik tutumlar, Birleşmiş Milletler Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Hedefleri'nin eğitim sistemlerine entegrasyonu ve yükseköğretimin sürdürülebilirlikteki rolü gibi konulu makaleler olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sonuçlar, eğitimde sürdürülebilirlik çalışmalarında eleştirel düşünme ve problem çözme becerilerinin geliştirilmesini de içeren çok boyutlu bir sürecin olduğunu, bu konuyla ilgili trendlerin eğitim araştırmaları kategorisinde, yükseköğretim, kalite, temel yeterlilik, sürdürülebilir kampüs, toplum temasında sağlık, yer, siyaset, yaklaşım temasında ise sorgulama, gerçek dünya ve araçlar gibi konular olduğunu göstermektedir.
dc.description.abstractThis study aims to examine 2,071 articles on sustainability in education, published between 2015 and 2025 in the Web of Science Core Collection database, using bibliometric analysis. It provides a comprehensive overview of overall publication trends, prolific authors and institutions, country-level distributions, and prominent keywords and trending topics in this field. The findings reveal a marked increase in sustainability-in-education research from 2021 onwards and a steadily growing academic interest in the topic. In particular, countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia stand out in terms of publication productivity. The body of research focuses on the environmental, economic and social dimensions of sustainability, as well as the critical role of education in this transformation. The most frequently cited articles address topics such as attitudes toward sustainability, the integration of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into education systems, and the role of higher education in advancing sustainability. The results indicate that work on sustainability in education is conceptualised as a multidimensional process that also includes the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Trending topics associated with this line of research include, within the education research category, higher education, quality, key competencies and sustainable campuses; within the community theme, health, place and politics; and within the approaches theme, inquiry, the real world and tools.
