dc.description.abstractIndividuals' personality, family and social environment affect their future expectations. Because of the studies carried out that there is a significant relationship between business life and the five-factor personality traits, this research topic has acquired importance. The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between the five factor personality traits of university students and their future expectations. For this purpose, the research includes 459 participants, consisting of vocational high school, undergraduate and master students who are studying at Manisa Celal Bayar University using the convenience sampling method. In order to test the reliability of the scales within the scope of the study; Cronbach's alpha coefficients were examined. Hayes' Process macro was used to test the explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis, correlation and moderator role in the collected data. According to the results of the research, there is a positive and significant moderate relationship between the future expectations of university students and the five-factor personality traits. It was determined that gender did not make a significant difference in the said relationship, therefore, there was no moderator role.
dc.description.abstractÜniversite öğrencilerinin gelecek beklentileri; kişiliği, ailesi ve sosyal çevresi tarafından etkilenmektedir. Bireylerin çalışma hayatına dair pek çok unsurun onların temel kişilik özellikleri tarafından etkilendiğine yönelik yapılan çalışmalar neticesinde, iş yaşamına dair gelecek beklentileri ile kişilik özellikleri arasında ilişki önem kazanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinin temel kişilik özelliklerinin çalışma hayatına dair gelecek beklentilerine bir etkisinin olup olmadığını araştırmaktır. Bu amaca yönelik olarak araştırma, kolayda örnekleme yöntemi ile Manisa Celal Bayar Üniversitesinde eğitim gören ön lisans, lisans ve yüksek lisans öğrencilerinden oluşan 459 katılımcıyı kapsamaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında ölçeklerin güvenilirliğini test etmek üzere; Cronbach's alpha katsayılarına bakılmıştır. Toplanan verilere açıklayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi, korelasyon ve düzenleyici rolünü test etmek için Hayes’in Process isimli makrosu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre üniversite öğrencilerinin gelecek beklentileri ile temel kişilik özellikleri arasında pozitif ve anlamlı orta derecede bir ilişkinin olduğunu göstermektedir. Söz konusu ilişkide cinsiyetin ise anlamlı bir farklılık oluşturmadığı, dolayısıyla düzenleyici rolünün olmadığı tespit edilmiştir.
