dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to examine the Paralympic sport awareness of physical education and sports teaching students. A total of 418 students, 205 female and 213 male, from three state universities participated voluntarily in the study, which was conducted with a survey model. The data were obtained with the “Paralympic Sports Awareness Scale” and Personal Information Form. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, one-way MANOVA and Pearson correlation analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there was no significant difference in the mean scores of Paralympic interest, Paralympic knowledge and general scores according to gender variable (p>.05). dc.description.abstractBu araştırmanın amacı, beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenliği bölümü öğrencilerinin paralimpik spor farkındalıklarını incelemektir. Tarama modeli ile yürütülen araştırmaya, üç devlet üniversitesinden gönüllü olarak katılan 205’i kadın, 213’ü erkek olmak üzere toplam 418 öğrenci dahil edilmiştir. Veriler “Paralimpik Sporlar Farkındalık Ölçeği” ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu ile elde edilmiştir. Toplanan veriler betimsel istatistikler, tek yönlü MANOVA ve Pearson korelasyon analizleri ile çözümlenmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, cinsiyet değişkenine göre paralimpik ilgi, paralimpik bilgi ve genel puan ortalamalarında anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı belirlenmiştir (p>,05). Engelli öğrencilere öğretmenlik yapma durumuna göre, katılımcıların paralimpik bilgi ve paralimpik sporlar farkındalık genel ortalama puanlarında anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu tespit edilmiştir (p,05).
