dc.description.abstractBu çalışmada; Borsa İstanbul (BİST) Bankacılık Endeksinde (XBANK) yer alan bankaların, 2021–2023 dönemlerine ait mali tablo verileri kullanılarak hesaplanan finansal oranlar aracılığıyla finansal performanslarının analiz edilmesi ve çok kriterli karar verme yöntemlerinden (ÇKKV) biri olan “Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution” (TOPSİS) yöntemi ile başarı sıralamalarının tespit edilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. XBANK endeksinde işlem gören 9 banka, araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmakta ve finansal performans değerlendirmesi için toplam 10 adet finansal gösterge kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, 2021 yılında VAKBN, 2022 ve 2023 yıllarında ise YKBNK şirketlerinin finansal performans skorlarının en üst sırada olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Öte yandan, ilgili dönemler itibariyle SKBNK, HALKB ve ALBRK şirketlerinin ise kıyasla daha düşük bir performans sergiledikleri tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre bazı yıllarda yüksek performans sergileyen bankaların izleyen dönemde/dönemlerde daha düşük performans sergilemiş oldukları da görülmektedir. Analize tabi bankaların ölçekleri ve türleri bakımından farklılıklar göstermesinin finansal performans açısından dönemler itibariyle dalgalanmalara neden olabileceği düşünülmektedir.
dc.description.abstractIn this study; it is aimed to analyze the financial performance of the banks in the Borsa Istanbul (BIST) Banking Index (XBANK) through financial ratios calculated using financial statement data for the periods 2021-2023 and to determine their success rankings with the “Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution” (TOPSIS) method, which is one of the multi-criteria decision making methods (MCDM). 9 banks traded in the XBANK index constitute the sample of the study and a total of 10 financial indicators were used for financial performance evaluation. As a result of the research, it was determined that the financial performance scores of VAKBN in 2021 and YKBNK in 2022 and 2023 were at the top. On the other hand, it was found that SKBNK, HALKB and ALBRK companies exhibited a lower performance compared to their peers in the relevant periods. According to the findings, banks that exhibited high performance in some years also exhibited lower performance in the following period(s). It is thought that the differences in the scales and types of banks subject to analysis may cause fluctuations in terms of financial performance in terms of periods.
