Özet
Finansal eğitimin finansal okuryazarlık düzeyi üzerindeki etkisini araştıran bu çalışmanın örneklemi, Çankırı’da eğitim öğretim faaliyeti gösteren fen lisesi ve sosyal bilimler lisesinde öğrenim gören 120 öğrencidir. Deney ve kontrol grubu olarak ikiye ayrılan öğrencilerden yalnızca deney grubuna finansal eğitim verilerek finansal eğitimin finansal okuryazarlık düzeyi üzerindeki etkisi irdelenmiştir. Anket yordamıyla toplanan birincil veriler SPSS 22 programıyla analiz edilmiştir. Finansal okuryazarlık düzeyine ilişkin ön test-son test puan ortalamaları karlışatırıldığında, finansal eğitim sonrasında fen lisesindeki deney grubu öğrencilerinin riskten korunma konusunda bilgi düzeylerinin arttığı; sosyal bilimler lisesindeki deney grubu öğrencilerinin ise operasyonel işlemler, kredibilite ve güvenlik, ekonomi yorumu kabiliyeti konsuundaki bilgi düzeyinin arttığı ve finansal okuryazarlık ölçeğinin toplamında iyileşme olduğu görülmüştür. Deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin son testten aldıkları puanların ortalaması karşılaştırıldığında, fen lisesindeki deney grubu öğrencilerinin lehine gözlemlenen artışın finansal okuryazarlık düzeyinin tüm alt boyutları ile ölçek toplamını kapsadığı, sosyal bilimler lisesinde ekonomi yorumu kabiliyeti alt boyutu hariç diğer alt boyutlarda ve ölçek toplamında deney grubu lehine bir artış olduğu görülmüştür.
The sample of this study, which investigates the effect of financial education on level of financial literacy, is 120 students from a science high school and social sciences high school operating in Çankırı. The students were divided into two groups as experimental and control groups, with only experimental group receiving financial education to examine its effect on financial literacy levels. The primary data collected through the survey was analyzed using SPSS program. When the pretest-posttest score averages regarding the financial literacy level are compared, it’s seen that the knowledge level of experimental group in science high school about risk protection increased after financial education; the knowledge level of experimental group in social sciences high school about operational transactions, credibility and security, economic interpretation ability increased and there was an improvement in total financial literacy scale. When the post-test mean scores of experimental and control groups were compared, it was seen that the increase observed in favor of experimental group in science high school covered all sub-dimensions of the financial literacy level and total scale, while in social sciences high school, except for the economic interpretation ability sub-dimension, there was an increase in favor of experimental group in all sub-dimensions and total scale.
