Öğe Emotional Capital and Burnout Relation in Working Life: A Research on Municipality Employees in Gaziantep(Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat Üniversitesi, 2020) Tutcu, AlperIn this research, the effect of emotional capital on burnout was investigated. The research data was gathered from 403 individuals working at municipalities operating in Gaziantep city. Emotional Capital Inventory and Maslach Burnout Inventory were used in data collection. Emotional Capital Inventory was developed by Newman and Purse (2007) as 77 items, decreased by Newman et al. (2015) to 30 items, and has 5 dimensions. Maslach Burnout Inventory was developed by Maslach and Jackson (1981), adapted into Turkish by Ergin (1992), and has 3 dimensions. SPSS 22.0 package program was used in data analysis. As the result of the research, it was found that personal awareness, self-reliance, self-management and distantation dimensions of emotional capital influence emotional exhaustion negatively and significantly; social awareness, personal awareness and self-reliance dimensions of emotional capital influence personal accomplishment negatively and significantly; and self-management and distantation dimensions of emotional capital influence depersonalization negatively and significantly
