(Paramedik Eğitiminde Standardizasyon ve Akreditasyon Derneği, 2024) Gülsoy, Hatice; Akyüz, Hatice Öntürk; Nalbant, Özgür
Objective: The main purpose of the study is to determine the relationship between self-care agency and sleep quality of elderly individuals and to evaluate the effects of demographic factors such as age, gender, marital status, and chronic diseases on this relationship. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted with 140 participants who were 65 years of age and older and could be reached. Self-Care Agency Scale and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSA) were applied to the participants. The data of the participants grouped according to demographic characteristics were analyzed using statistical methods such as independent two-sample t-test and ANOVA. The relationship between self-care agency and sleep quality was evaluated with Pearson correlation analysis. Findings: As a result of the analyses, it was found that there were significant differences in terms of self-care agency and sleep quality between age groups (p < 0.05). Self-care agency of individuals in the 65-69 age group was found to be significantly higher than those in individuals aged 75 and older. Similarly, it was observed that sleep quality deteriorated with age. It was found that women had higher self-care agency and sleep quality scores than men (p < 0.05). Both self-care agency and sleep quality scores were found to be lower in individuals with chronic diseases (p < 0.01). It was found that individuals who attended Refreshing University showed better results in terms of both self-care agency and sleep quality than those who did not (p < 0.001). Conclusion: The study revealed a strong relationship between self-care agency and sleep quality. It is recommended that social participation programs for elderly individuals be expanded and that nurses take an active role in this process. Considering the positive effects of education and social support programs on the quality of life of elderly individuals, such practices should be increased.

Evaluation of the relationship between body composition and aerobic fitness in youth soccer players
(Natl Olympic Committee Ukraine, Kharkov Regional Branch, 2018) Nalbant, Özgür; Özer, Kamil
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to make an evaluation between aerobic fitnes (VO2max) and body composition in youth soccer players. Material: U19, U17, U16 and U15 age groups participated in the study. Twenty-eight U19 (average age 18,03 +/- 0,58), twenty-three U17 (average age 16,72 +/- 0,30), twenty-seven U16 (average age 15,79 +/- 0,23) and twenty-one U15 (average age 14,67 +/- 0,31) totally ninety-nine athletes voluntarily participated in the study. The subjects' body weight and fat percentage were estimated by bioelectrical impedance. VO2max was determined by YOYO Intermittan Recovery test protocol. Shapiro-wilk test, Independent t test, hierarchical regression and analysis of covariance were used to compare the relationships between aerobic fitness and body composition. Additionally, Pearson correlation coefficients were calculated to examine the relationships between variables. The level of significance for all statistics was set at p<0.05. SPSS 23 software was used to calculate the data. The total value of all estimators is f = 18,001 and p< 0.0001. Results: Although all variables were included in the model, the BMI was considered the greatest explanatory factor for fatness. Aerobic endurance was assessed in direct proportion to age, sit and reach test, crunch test, plank, and long jump test. As the distance increased, the% fat ratio decreased (p<0.001), and the fat ratio decreased with the decrease in the T test (p<0.001). Conclusions: In this study, it was determined that body fat ratio determined by BMI, body fat percentage decreased with increasing aerobic endurance, body fat ratio was negatively correlated with aerobic fitness and lean body ratio. It was also determined that aerobic fitness was positively correlated with age, sit and reach, crunch test, plank, standing long jump and T test.

THE EARLY SPECIALIZATION REQUIRING SPORT OF GYMNASTICS AND LONG-TERM ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
(METİN YAMAN, 2020) Temürçi, İsmail; Bayraktar, Işık; Nalbant, Özgür
Today, long-term athlete development programs are used as an alternative to traditional athlete training programs. They aim to make sport as a lifestyle, rather than compressing athlete development into a short period of time. In long-term athlete development programs, all processes are planned on the basis of the biological development periods of the athletes and their development characteristics in these periods, rather than their chronological age, which is taken as the basis in traditional athlete development methods. Sports branches are divided into two as early specialization and late specialization sports. Gymnastics requires skill, coordination, and a developed central nervous system; thus, it is categorized among the early specialization sports.

(Sivas Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi, 2023) Kılınç, Muhammed Yavuz; Nalbant, Özgür
The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of intensive one-month training periodization based on in-season multiple performance analysis on race performance of a master category road cyclist. A male athlete aged 44 years, height 178 cm, weight 79 kg, body mass index 25, and age 44 years, height 178 cm, weight 79 kg, and body mass index 25, who was actively competing in the road cycling master category, participated in the study voluntarily. Our study was conducted between 01.09.2022/02.10.2022 for the race in the 2022 season race calendar (Fethiye Lycian Grandfounda 02.10.2022). Anthropometric (subcutaneous fat) measurements and Functional Threshold Power (FTP) tests were performed as pre- and post-tests in a multiple analysis system (APPA). Anthropometric measurement (subcutaneous fat), Maximal Heart Rate, Mean Heart Rate, Mean Power, Normalized Power, Maximal Power, Mean Speed and Mean Cadence values were taken from the pre and post test data and numerical comparison was made. Pre and post test values showed a decrease in body weight and fat ratios in anthropometric measurements. Positive differences were determined in heart rate and power values obtained from FTP test values. Our cyclist who participated in the study ranked 3rd among 15 participants in the master ketogory. In addition, with the same training program (with changes in loading intensities), he was 1st in the UCI Grand Fondo 20 November 2022 (40-44 age master group). Conclusion; Based on the data we obtained, it can be said that the multiple analysis system test results and individual training periodization are effective. The training model and periodization we applied can be a model for cyclists and coaches who will work in this field.
