    THE EFFECT OF GREEN LOGISTICS PRACTICES AND GREEN TRANSFORMATIVE LEADERSHIP ON ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE BUSINESS PERFORMANCE: A FIELD STUDY IN ACCOMMODATION ENTERPRISES

    The growing severity of environmental problems has made the implementation of effective environmental policies more crucial than ever. For accommodation enterprises, which are directly linked to the use of natural resources and environmental impacts, the influence of ecological practices on business performance holds strategic importance. In this context, the present study focuses on green logistics practices and green transformational leadership, examining within the scope of the literature how the adoption and implementation of a green leadership approach may affect environmentally responsible business performance. Moreover, the study investigates the mediating role of green transformational leadership in the relationship between green logistics practices and environmentally sustainable business performance. Data collected from employees working in accommodation enterprises were analyzed using statistical techniques. The results indicate that green transformational leadership plays a significant and positive mediating role in the effect of green logistics practices on environmentally responsible business performance. This study provides practical insights into how accommodation enterprises can enhance their environmental sustainability through leadership and logistics practices. It also offers strategic implications for promoting environmentally responsible management approaches, contributing to the hospitality sector’s transition toward sustainable and competitive business models.

    THE REFUGEE CRISIS IN THE AEGEAN SEA: AN ANALYSIS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE REGIONAL SECURITY COMPLEX

    The phenomenon of migration varies according to factors in many different dimensions, this study deals with irregular migration and the events that occur in this context. Turkey, due to its geopolitical position, is a transit country in the irregular migration issue, in comparison with neighboring countries, Turkey has become a transit country for migrants due to its relatively higher level of development compared to Middle Eastern countries located to its south and east, and its lower level of development compared to European countries. In this study, the results and reasons for Syrian refugee’s attempts to use Turkey as a transit country and cross to Greece over the Aegean Sea will be analyzed from the perspective of Barry Buzan’s ‘Regional Security Complex Theory. This study focuses on the problem of whether a regional security complex has emerged in the Balkans due to the migration movement resulting from the Syrian Civil War, using Buzan’s theory as a framework, between Turkey and Greece.

    Yeşil lojistik uygulamaları ve yeşil dönüştürücü liderliğin çevreye duyarlı işletme performansı üzerine etkisi: Konaklama işletmelerinde bir alan araştırması

    Çevresel sorunların her geçen gün arttığı günümüz koşullarında çevre politikalarının önemi artış göstermektedir. İş hayatındaki tüm sektörlerde olduğu gibi ekolojik uygulamaların işletme performansı üzerine katkısı konaklama işletmeleri için de önem arz etmektedir. Bu süreçte yeşil lojistik uygulamaları ve yeşil dönüştürücü liderliğin de etkisi büyüktür. Bu kapsamda çalışmada, yeşil liderlik yaklaşımının benimsenmesi ve uygulanmasının işletmelerin çevre duyarlı performanslarına olası etkileri literatür bağlamında irdelenmiştir. Ayrıca çalışmada yeşil lojistik uygulamalarının çevre duyarlı işletme performansına olan etkisinde yeşil dönüştürücü liderliğin aracı bir role sahip olup olmadığını ortaya çıkarmak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın ilk üç bölümünde derinlemesine literatür taraması yapılmış olup, elde edilen bilgiler açık bir şekilde derlenmiştir. Dördüncü bölüm ise araştırma metodolojisini ve araştırma analizini ele alan bölümdür. Alan araştırmasında örnekleme yöntemi konaklama işletmeleri çalışanlarından elde edilen veriler SPSS, Process Macro ve JASP uygulamaları kullanılarak çeşitli analizlere tabi tutulmuştur. Analizler sonucu elde edilen bulgular, yeşil lojistik uygulamalarının çevre duyarlı işletme performansı üzerine olan etkisinde yeşil dönüştürücü liderliğin olumlu ve anlamlı yönde aracı rol oynadığını ortaya koymaktadır. Bu araştırma, konaklama işletmelerinin çevre duyarlı işletme performanslarını arttırabilmek için yapılabilmesi mümkün faaliyetler için yol göstermekte ve konaklama işletmeleri açısından önemli çevreci ipuçları sunmaktadır.
