Perceptions of Teacher Candidates Attending Pedagogical Formation Courses Regarding the Educational Inspectors: A Metaphorical Study

The purpose of this research is to seek the ideas of students of the pedagogical formation courses about education inspectors. The research was designed in phenomenological design, which is a qualitative method. As data collecting technique, metaphorical use of the participants was referred to. In analysing the data, inductive content analysis technique was used to identify metaphorical language. Working group were determined using convenience sampling technique which is one of purposeful sampling method. As a result, the participants tend to have positive perceptions more than negative. Part of the positive perceptions pointed out to determine the objective current state and focus on correction of the behaviours more than encouraging creativeness and providing development. It can be asserted that the perceptions show that inspectors and inspection tend to focus on transactional frame of reference more than being innovative, creative and developmental. Most of the negative perceptions were stated using living organisms and things which cause to provoke emotions including fear and anxiety or even violence in our physical, cultural, social environment.
