For the interpretation of the data, we carriedout the calculations within the statistical multifragmentation model (SMM). Thepossible modification of symmetry energy parameter, in the multifragmentationregion at the low density freeze-out has been  studied. It is shown that a significant reductionof the symmetry energy term is found necessary to reproduce experimental data. The results are in agreement with recent findings.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessisotopic yieldmultifragmentationprojectile fragmentssymmetry energyisotopic yieldmultifragmentationprojectile fragmentssymmetry energyIsotopic yields in peripheral heavy-ion collisionsArticle1NSP2018 Özel Sayı3639
