The study aims to delineate the trajectory and trends of future research by examining various bibliometric parameters such as publication trends, core themes, keyword dynamics, publication year, most prolific authors, most cited authors, most frequently cited publications, countries by number of articles, journals in which these articles are published, types of cited sources, and institutional affiliations of authors. Bibliographic data was collated and presented comparatively from the databases to address the limitations of bibliometric data. Between 1990 and 2016, terms such as health, tourism, health care, and stem cell transplantation were prevalent. However, the 2017-2023 period highlights concepts like Coronavirus, global health, and medical tourism economics. This chapter provides significant insights into the existing literature gaps and enhances the understanding of emerging trends in the field. © 2025 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing.
