In this respect, we examined the relation between CO2 emissions and economic growth for MIST countries for the period spanning from 1971 to 2016. With the help of second-generation panel data techniques, we employed the PANICCA unit root test, Durbin-Hausman Panel Cointegration test, and used the AMG estimator approach. The results strongly support a monotonously increasing relationship between CO2 emissions and economic growth.
