1st International Congress on Health, Sport, Energy and Environmental Sustainability
(2026) Atılgan, Atılgan
Scientific progress and sustainable development increasingly depend on interdisciplinary
research and international collaboration. In response to this need, the 1st International
Congress on Health, Sport, Energy and Environmental Sustainability (IHSEC 2026) was
successfully organized in a hybrid format on 23–25 April 2026, hosted by Alanya
Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ), Türkiye.
IHSEC 2026 was established as an international scientific platform dedicated to fostering
interdisciplinary dialogue, promoting the exchange of innovative ideas, and strengthening
global academic partnerships. The congress brought together researchers, academics,
practitioners, and graduate students from diverse scientific disciplines to discuss current
challenges and emerging opportunities in health, sport, energy, and environmental
sustainability. By encouraging the integration of knowledge across disciplines, the
congress sought to contribute to scientific advancement and to support the development
of sustainable solutions for contemporary global challenges.
The scientific program covered a broad range of topics, including Health Sciences, Sport
Sciences, Energy Systems and Sustainability, Environmental Sustainability, Public Health
and Sustainable Development, and Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Societies.
These thematic areas provided an inclusive framework for presenting original research,
exchanging scientific perspectives, and establishing new collaborations among
participants from different academic backgrounds.
The participation of scholars from Türkiye, the United States, Bangladesh, Poland, and
Iraq further enhanced the international character of the congress and created valuable
opportunities for expanding global research networks. The hybrid format ensured broad
accessibility, enabling active participation and scientific interaction regardless of
geographical location.
The Organizing Committee extends its sincere appreciation to all authors, keynote
speakers, reviewers, session chairs, members of the Scientific and Organizing
Committees, and all participants whose dedication and contributions ensured the success
of IHSEC 2026. We also gratefully acknowledge the support and collaboration of our
international partner institutions: Noakhali Science and Technology University, ISRAA
University, SPIRU HARET University, Zagreb School of Business, and Al-Mustaqbal
University.
We sincerely hope that these conference proceedings will serve as a valuable reference
for researchers, contribute to the dissemination of scientific knowledge, and inspire future
interdisciplinary research and international collaborations addressing the challenges of a
more sustainable world.

AI-Generated Advertising: Consumer Perceptions, Trust and Ethical Governance
(Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat Üniversitesi Yayınları, 2026) Demir, Mehmet Özer
INTRODUCTION
The rapid proliferation of generative artificial intelligence (AI) has fundamentally transformed
the advertising landscape. From algorithmically written copy and synthetically generated
visuals to personalized product recommendations and virtual influencers, AI now plays a central
role in how brands create, target, and deliver persuasive messages to consumers. Industry
projections suggest that by 2026, a substantial portion of digital advertising content will involve
some form of AI generation (Jesus et al., 2026), driven by efficiency gains, creative
augmentation, and the promise of hyper‑personalization at scale. Yet this technological shift has
introduced profound questions that extend far beyond marketing effectiveness. How do
consumers evaluate advertisements they know – or suspect – were generated by a machine?
Does the use of AI in advertising enhance or erode trust in the brands and manufacturers behind
those ads? Can consumers calibrate their trust appropriately, neither over‑relying on nor
dismissing AI‑generated persuasive content? And what ethical governance mechanisms are
needed to ensure that AI‑driven marketing aligns with consumer expectations, legal
requirements, and societal values?
This book addresses these questions by bringing together five empirical studies that examine
consumer responses to AI‑generated advertising from multiple psychological, relational, and
governance perspectives. Rather than treating AI‑generated ads as a simple variation of
traditional advertising, the volume conceptualizes algorithmic authorship as a trigger for
multilevel evaluative processes – affecting brand attitudes, manufacturer perceptions, corporate
reputation, affective trust, trust calibration, and ethical judgments. The chapters collectively
advance a human‑centered understanding of AI in marketing, emphasizing that consumers do
not respond to AI content in isolation; rather, they evaluate the technological source, the
organizational entities responsible for it, the transparency of its use, and the ethical framework
within which it operates.
